HOW TO BOOK
Before starting any treatment, we begin with a personalised consultation to ensure your skin is ready, the treatment is suitable, and we tailor everything to your goals. Whether you’re seeking skin needling, PRP injections, or a combination of both — our approach is grounded in science, safety, and natural rejuvenation.

You’ll find everything you need to know below to get started — including how to prepare, what to expect, and how to book.
SKIN-NEEDLING WITH PRP
Skin needling with PRP is ideal for those looking to improve texture, fine lines, acne scarring, and overall skin strength.

What You Need to Know:
-
A consultation is required before your first session to assess your skin and customise your treatment plan. This can be done on the day prior to your treatment on the day.
-
You must be generally fit and well, with no active infections or broken skin in the area.
-
If you have eczema, dermatitis, or psoriasis, please let us know in advance.
-
Topical cortisone/steroids must be ceased 5–7 days before your appointment.
-
-
We’ll also consider the timing of any recent cosmetic treatments (e.g. laser, peels, injectables).

EmCyte PRP Hair & Skin (injections)
If you're considering PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment for face & hair, the first step is to book a consultation. This is essential so we can assess whether PRP is the right option for your individual needs and treatment goals.

To make the most of your appointment, please bring:
-
A recent blood test (within the last 3–6 months is ideal)
-
Any relevant medical history or current medications (a recent health summary is sufficient)
Why do I need a blood test before PRP?
PRP relies on the quality and concentration of your own platelets. Blood results help us assess key markers such as:
-
Platelet count
-
Vitamin D and iron levels
-
Inflammation markers (e.g. CRP)
-
Thyroid function
-
Hormonal levels (if relevant for hair loss)
These factors can affect how well you respond to PRP and ensure we’re treating safely and effectively.
Please note: I am a Registered Nurse, not a GP, so while I can review your results in the context of PRP treatment, I cannot diagnose or make broader medical recommendations. If anything falls outside of normal parameters, I’ll guide you to follow up with your GP.

What happens next?
-
Book a PRP Consultation – We’ll review your concerns and your bloodwork, and discuss the best treatment plan.
-
Bring supporting documents – Recent blood results and any medical summary help guide treatment suitability.
-
If suitable, we’ll schedule your first PRP session
This step-by-step approach ensures a personalised, safe, and effective treatment journey.
